Teenager arrested as boy 'stabbed' outside Black Country school
A teenager has been arrested after a suspected stabbing outside a school in the Black Country.
A 14-year-old pupil suffered an injury to his leg near Perryfields High School in Oldbury. A boy, also 14, was detained by school staff and arrested on suspicion of wounding.
Police were called to the school on Oldacre Road, Brandhall, around 3pm on Thursday. A statement from the school said: “The school remains a safe and friendly place.” West Midlands Police spokesman Gina Lycett said: “A 14-year-old was treated for a minor injury to his leg and a 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of wounding. He was released from custody pending investigation.”
