Motorway link road in Great Barr closed after woman seen on bridge
A link road between the M5 and M6 at Great Barr was blocked this afternoon after a woman was standing on the wrong side of the bridge.
West Midlands Police rushed to the scene between the two motorways at around 1.15pm on Tuesday.
The force closed the road as a woman was standing on the wrong side of the bridge railings on the link road.
She was taken down off the bridge by officers just before 2pm and the link road was reopened.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Officers were alerted to a woman standing on the wrong side of bridge railings on the link road between the M6 and M5 northbound just after 1.15pm today.
"The link road between M6 and M5 was briefly closed but the woman was taken down off the bridge by officers just before 2pm."
