Man dies after falling from canal viaduct in Great Barr
A man has died after falling from a canal viaduct in Great Barr.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Spouthouse Lane, Hamstead, on Monday.
Upon arrival, paramedics confirmed he was in cardiac arrest and carried out advanced life support on the patient.
He was confirmed dead at the scene.
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford with a doctor on board and a second doctor were called to the incident.
It happened at about 4.10pm.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "Crews administered advanced life support on the scene but sadly nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead."
