Aston Villa's Leon Bailey is being investigated by police over alleged assault of supporter after 4-0 win against Everton
Villa star Leon Bailey is the subject of a police investigation into the alleged assault of a supporter following Sunday’s Premier League match with Everton.
West Midlands Police have confirmed they are looking into the incident, which took place at Villa Park just after 5pm, around an hour after the final whistle.
It is believed to have occurred after a man is said to have entered Bailey’s private box in the Trinity Road Stand and requested a photo and autograph, after which an argument ensued where it is alleged the man was assaulted. The player’s pregnant partner and four-year-old son are understood to have been present at the scene.
