Fire crews tackle severe house fire in Bearwood
Firefighters tackled a severe fire at a house in Bearwood.
West Midlands Fire Service were called to Selsey Road at round 8pm on Saturday night.
The fire was located in a first floor bedroom, but had penetrated the roof of the property.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "We were initially called at 7.50pm on Saturday to a severe fire in a first floor bedroom in a property in Selsey Road, in Bearwood.
"We had a number of appliances in attendance due to the fire penetrating the roof. Five appliances attended the fire in total.
"There was 100 per cent smoke damage within the property, while the fire affected 50 per cent of the first floor, 25 per cent of the ground floor and 25 per cent of the roof.
"There were no reported injuries.
"No hotspots were found in the property at around 7.50am on Sunday morning we left the property with the owner."
