Woman found with serious head injuries in Bearwood street
An police investigation has been launched after a woman was found with serious head injuries in Bearwood.
A paramedic came across the incident in Sandon Road at around 7.40pm on Wednesday.
The woman, in her 20s, was later rushed to hospital, where she remained this afternoon.
Photos from the scene show a large police presence in Sandon Road, but the nature of the incident is not yet known.
West Midlands Police officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A spokesman for the force said: "We are investigating after a woman was found with head injuries on Sandon Road, Birmingham at 7.40pm on Wednesday.

"The woman, in her 20s remains, in hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
"Investigations are ongoing to establish how she came to receive these injures and we are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area the time to contact us."
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "One of our paramedics came across the incident in Sandon Road at around 7.39pm on Wednesday. Two ambulances were sent to the scene and a patient, a woman, was found with serious injuries.
"They were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital on blue lights."
