The residents on Western Road in Hagley have spoken out after a set of markings were seen on various points along the street, but with no notice of what has been planned, apart from a comment from a contractor about telegraph poles.

The street lies in the leafy area of Hagley, between the A456 Kidderminster Road and A491 Stourbridge Road, and is lined with trees along both sides.

Resident Mike Johnson said he had been trying to find out what the plans were and said he had heard hearsay about it being new superfast broadband by provider BRSK, but said he felt it didn't need to have unsightly telegraph poles put in place.
