Car overturns in crash on Stourbridge ring road

A car crashed and overturned on the Stourbridge ring road.

Police were called to the white Skoda on its roof in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Two fire crews, from Stourbridge and Brierley Hill, were sent to make the scene safe shortly before 1am.

Officers from West Midlands Police also put a cordon in place while they arranged recovery of the vehicle.

A West Midlands Fire spokesperson said: "IIt was on St John's Road in Stourbridge. The car was on its roof. West Midlands Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service were also in attendance."

An employee from the nearby BP garage, who wished to remain anonymous, told the Express & Star they found the car shortly before 6am with its lights still on.

They added: "I found the car at 6.15am on Saturday. It was a white Skoda and it was upside down, on its roof."
