The Kidderminster Male Voice Choir will sing at the service for Tracey and Pierce Wilkinson, who died following an attack in Greyhound Lane, Stourbridge in March.

Members said they were honoured to be asked to appear by the family.

A spokesman for the choir said: "Kidderminster Male Choir is highly honoured to have been asked to officiate.

"Funerals are never easy and, although none of the family was known to us beforehand, we all feel in some way touched by the circumstances.

"I know every member of the choir is eager to offer whatever they can to the Wilkinson family.

"A choir is not an important element of any funeral but merely a support for the bereaved and it is important to us that we ensure we fulfil that requirement.”

Tracey, 50, and 13-year-old Pierce suffered multiple stab wounds at the house. Husband and father Peter Wilkinson, 47, was seriously injured but survived.

A joint funeral will be held at St Mary's Church in Oldswinford, Stourbridge, on Wednesday, June 7.
