Five people were in the Skoda Fabia when it crashed into a tree in Bromley Lane, Kingswinford, shortly before 9pm on Tuesday.

Driver Joshua Parkes, back-seat passenger Lucy Tibbetts, 16, and a 16-year-old girl whose family have asked for privacy were all pronounced dead at the scene.

Nathan Cartwright, aged 18, was taken to hospital in critical condition but died on Saturday. Another 16-year-old girl remains in hospital.

The family of Joshua Parkes, speaking before Joshua's friend Nathan lost his life, said: "The whole family are devastated at the loss of lives and pray that those in hospital make a full recovery.

"Our thoughts are with the other families involved at this dreadful time. We would appreciate our privacy being respected whilst we come to terms with what has happened."

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Our specialist officers continue to support the families whose lives have been devastated by this tragic event.

"No words can express their grief and our thoughts remain with them at this painful time."

More than £11,000 has so far been raised for the four people killed in the crash. A fundraiser has also been set up for the surviving passenger.
