Pensioner charged with drink driving after Kingswinford crash
A 68-year-old man has been charged with drink driving after a crash in Kingswinford.
Firefighters, police and ambulance crews attended the junction between Market Street and Kingswinford High Street during rush hour on Monday.
The road leading from Stourbridge to Wall Heath was closed following the incident, with debris left scattered across the road.
West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed two people were treated and discharged at the scene with non-serious injuries.
And West Midlands Police said one local man was arrested and charged.
A spokesman for the force said: "Anthony Skilbeck, aged 68, from Summerhill, Kingswinford, was arrested and charged with drink driving after police were called to a collision on Kingswinford High Street. He is due to appear before Dudley magistrates on 21 January 2020."
Brierley Hill Fire Station firefighters warned motorists of the incident, and said: "Incident in progress on the junction of Market Street and Kingswinford High Street, Kingswinford.
"Road currently blocked from Stourbridge direction to Wall Heath."
A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service said crews were called at 5.22pm on Monday, December 30, to a two-car collision.
