Boy injured after being hit by car near Kingswinford schools

A boy is being treated for "potentially serious injuries" after being hit by a car during the school run.

Emergency services were sent to the scene in Bromley Lane, Kingswinford, at around 3.50pm on Tuesday.

The child was taken to hospital, where he was being treated for "potentially serious injuries".

Much of Bromley Lane is a school zone, with Bromley Hills Primary School, The Brier School and Crestwood School all based on the road.

Jamie Arrowsmith, spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance, said: "We were called to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Bromley Lane at 3.48pm yesterday.

"We sent one ambulance to the scene. On arrival we discovered one patient, a boy, who was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to Russells Hall Hospital."
