Dozens of people leave touching tributes following death of 20-year-old driver in Halesowen

More than 70 people have left tributes on Facebook to a young man who died in a Halesowen crash.

Dozens of people have taken to the comments section of a Facebook post to leave tributes to a 20-year-old who died in a fatal car crash on Monday night.

The young man died after his car collided with a tree near the junction of Manor Way and Grange Road, Halesowen, at around 8pm.

Emergency services were quick to respond to the incident, however tragically, the man was pronounced dead.

Now, more than 70 people have left messages on the Dudley Police social media post announcing the incident, paying respects to the young man and his family. 

On the post, Penny Louise Belle, said: "My thoughts are with his family. 

"If people can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. This is someone's son." 

The road was closed for more than 12 hours, reopening at around 10am on Tuesday. 

Stuart Henley, another Facebook user, said: "Thoughts go out to his family, friends and the emergency services that deal with these incidents." 

Residents of the area described the road as 'dangerous', saying that it 'isn't the first time a crash has happened'.

Susan Piesley wrote in the comments: "My heart goes out to his family. 

"As a mother of a 20-year-old lad, this hits home. So very tragic."

Sammy Price, another Facebook user, said: "R.I.P young man.

"Sending my love and condolences to all his loved ones, I'm so sorry for your loss."
