More than 20 young people were seen spitting on swings and railings at Huntingtree Park – as well as ripping off tape cordoning off equipment.

It has led to the Friends of Huntingtree Park urging people to follow the rules – and report those who damage equipment on Saturday.

A statement said: "There were two groups of youths – over 20 – with no social distancing whatsoever and damage caused.

"Some people were using the play area and the gym equipment and all of this goes against current guidelines and the police were called and have attended.

"Please only use the park in line with current guidelines, this means the play area, gym equipment and multi games area is out of bounds."
