Teenager injured after car crashes into tree near Stourbridge and Halesowen

A teenager has been left in a critical condition in hospital after a car crashed into a tree near Stourbridge and Halesowen.

The collision took place on Hagley Wood Lane, in Clent, at around 12.40am on Saturday, April 12.

A white BMW three series, registration ending BNJ, exited the carriageway and collided with a tree.

The driver of the car and all four passengers were injured in the crash. Three of the passengers were taken to hospital to be treated for injuries.

Two passengers were later released from hospital, while a 19-year-old woman remains in a critical condition in hospital.

Investigating officers from West Mercia Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward – including anyone who may have dash-cam footage.

PC Scott Gee said: "We are keen to speak with anyone who may have seen the incident on Hagley Wood Lane, in Clent, during the early hours of Saturday, April 12, so that we can get a better understanding of what occurred.

“We are especially keen to see any dash-cam footage from the area at the time of the incident.”
