Teresa Johnson's case against Adam Mansell has been lodged with the High Court

Papers submitted to the High Court in London say Teresa Johnson, from Brierley Hill, will need round-the-clock care for the rest of her life after being hit at a pedestrian crossing in 2016.

Ms Johnson's claim is against the driver, Adam Mansell, of Ada Wrighton Close, Willenhall, and Aviva Insurance.

On December 8, 2016, the 78-year-old was pushing her shopping trolley across the A38 Tyburn Road in Erdington. Court papers say Mr Mansell, who was at the wheel of a Mercedes Sprinter, had a mobile phone on his dashboard.
