Officers carried out the planned drugs raid on the building on High Street, Brierley Hill, with the 677 plants found across two floors.

The raid was carried out by officers in Brierley Hill at around 6.30pm on Tuesday.

Two men, aged 23 and 25, arrested on suspicion of cultivating drugs have been released as enquiries continue.

It is not the first time a former bank has been transformed into a cannabis farm in the Black Country.

Last year police found hundreds of plants growing in the old Nationwide building in Queen Square in Wolverhampton city centre.
