Annib Khan, 29, from New Road, Netherton, told Wolverhampton Crown Court, his uncle Mohammed Osman Khan, a 45-year-old father of four, had threatened him at a mosque on July 21, last year.

Hours later, Mr Osman Khan turned up to a property on Buffery Road with his son Zayn Khan, aged 21 of Warren Hall Road, Dudley and banged on the door.

The door was opened by the defendant's father, who is partially deaf, has severe learning difficulties and requires care.

After seeing his uncle and cousin outside the house Khan went to the kitchen and picked up a metal bar to confront them.

After a struggle during which he dropped the bar Khan returned to the kitchen and grabbed a knife, and chased the pair to their van where Mr Osman Khan sustained a fatal stab wound.

Khan, who is on trial alongside Zayn Khan who is facing a single charge of affray, took to the witness stand yesterday (February 10).
