Thousands of pounds raised for mountain rescue team in memory of dentist who died in 'terrible accident'
Thousands of pounds have been raised in aid of a mountain rescue team in memory of a dentist who fell 130ft to his death from one of the flanks that leads to Ben Nevis.
Nathan Turner, 66, had been out hiking with his sons on the Carn Mor Dearg Arete in Scotland when the tragedy happened last month.
The Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team sent 10 members after being called out but the cloud conditions improved enough to allow a coastguard helicopter to retrieve his body and his fellow walkers.
Tributes flooded in for the dentist, who was a former pupil at Regis School, Tettenhall and worked at Clent Dental Care, in Hagley.
It is believed that he previously worked as a dentist in Bilston.
His funeral was held at St Leonard’s Church, in Clent, on Tuesday.
