It may like look a scene out of the fictional world of Alice In Wonderland.

But this stunning garden, where not a blade out grass is out of place, is the work of avid conservationist Donald Hall.

The 81-year-old, who lives in Dudley, has been passionate about gardening for the past 17 years.

In yesteryears, his garden has even won awards from Dudley-based florist shop Bunches and Bows.

And even though the competition no longer runs, he believes his garden still looks award winning.

He said: "Although I say it myself - I don't want you to think I'm bragging - it absolutely beautiful."

Mr Hall's garden is adorned with a variety of colourful plants and flowers which include: begonias, geraniums, petunias, Busy Lizzies, bacopas, dahlias, marigolds, lobelias, lupins, fuchsias and asters.

Amid the eye-catching flora there are also stone statues and ornaments.

Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic has prevented Mr Hall from acquiring all the plants he wants for his garden.

However that hasn't stopped Mr Hall putting a lot of time into maintaining the garden to such high standards.

"There isn't a weed or anything in the lawn, it is absolutely green," he said.

"When the weather is nice, I'm usually down the gardening doing a bit of tidying up.

"I'm in the garden more than in the house when the sun is shining. It has been really nice and gave me a good chance this year because I can't do a lot.

"It is not heavy work. It really helps me throughout the day, keeping me busy doing these little jobs."
