Air ambulance called as cyclist injured in Dudley crash
A cyclist was taken to hospital with a serious injury after falling from her bike in the Black Country.
An air ambulance was sent to Newland Grove in Dudley at around 2pm on Wednesday after a 999 call reporting the woman had been injured in a crash.
An ambulance, a paramedic officer, a critical care car and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford, with a MERIT trauma doctor on board all attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "Crews arrived to find a cyclist, a woman, being cared for by an off-duty nurse and family members.
"The woman had sustained a potentially serious injury.
"She was given treatment on scene and crews worked to stabilise her condition before she was conveyed by land ambulance to nearby Russells Hall Hospital for further care.”
