Driver and passengers flee as car ploughs into lamppost on Dudley Road
Three people fled the scene when a BMW smashed into a lamppost in the Black Country last night.

The car was left with major damage after ploughing into the post in Dudley Road, Wall Heath.
Three men fled the scene before emergency services arrived, West Midlands Police said.
A spokesman for the force added: "Police were alerted at 8.30pm last night to a single vehicle collision in Dudley Road, Wall Heath, in which a car struck a lamppost.
"It’s understood three males fled the scene; the car has been recovered and enquiries to trace the driver underway."
Firefighters were also called to the scene to make the vehicle safe.
Brierley Hill Fire Station tweeted saying: "Car into lampost in Wall Heath this evening. Firefighters assisted police in making vehicle and scene safe. Driver had left the scene."
