The 31st annual event saw classic vehicles fill the 11th century castle grounds on Sunday.

More than 80 classic cars descended on Dudley, including a Jaguar E-Type, a 1961 Daimler Dart and a rare mini.

Rachel Hickman, spokeswoman for Dudley Zoo and Castle, said: "It was really popular event, we had about 1,600 visitors on site.

"Everybody seemed to really enjoy it.

"It's an annual event that we have as part of our summer events programme.

"We've hosted it for 31 years and it's always a popular event.

"We also held a Lemur Day and raised money for a lemur charity we support.

"We had stalls for the Lemur Day with games, raffles and a game to find the lemur in the woods.

"It's to raise money for a charity based in Madagascar to fund teachers to learn about how to protect the habitat.

"It was great that we had more people on site from the classic car show to raise funds for the charity too.

"It was a lovely busy day and we hope it will continue being busy throughout the summer holidays."
