Police car crashes in Dudley bringing traffic to standstill
A police car which was attending an emergency call on blue lights crashed with a van on the Birmingham New Road in Dudley.
The police car sustained damage to its front end yesterday evening but no one was seriously injured.
Police have appealed for eyewitnesses to get in touch as enquiries are ongoing.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "A police car attending an emergency call on blue lights was involved in a collision with a van at Burnt Tree last night just before 7pm.
"No one was seriously injured. Enquiries are underway to establish the full circumstances.
"Witnesses have been asked to get in touch via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk, quoting log 2182 of 16 May."
Three other police cars surrounded the vehicle as two police officers stood surveying the scene.
The accident happened close to the former Burnt Tree Island, near the Tesco superstore.
