The museum paid homage to the hit BBC series which is partly filmed there as hundreds turned out to sample the lifestyle of 1920s Birmingham.

The museum was altered to become a dark and menacing scene, with props from the show also featuring.

Police officers armed with truncheons were running around after bad guys as visitors watched a re-enactment of scenes from the show.

Fans were also allowed to stroll around the set and take a peek inside Shelby’s scrap metal yard where illegal goods are moved along the historic Birmingham canal network.

There were plenty of food stalls while clothing stores were also open to allow fans to visitors to kit themselves out like Tommy Shelby.

The event remained as popular as ever with tickets for both Friday and Saturday night selling out.

Peaky Blinders, which stars Hollywood actor Cillian Murphy as Birmingham gangster Tommy Shelby has proved to be a huge hit, and fans were clearly keen to live like gangsters for the night.

Much of the show is filmed at the Black Country Living Museum, with its big-name stars seen on set recently filming the latest series.
