Hundreds of cyclists were today taking part in the second Round the Wrekin Sportive.
A total of 700 people signed up for this year's challenge. Last year's inaugural event saw nearly 600 cyclists got involved, raising £22,000 for Compton Hospice.
Tpday's Sportive started at Dudley Kingswinford rugby club, heading out into the Shropshire Hills, taking in the Long Mynd, Stiperstones and The Wrekin. There were three routes, starting at 8am, 9am and 10am.
This year 166 people have signed up for the Epic Route which covers some "serious hills" during the 101.5 mile route.
The popular standard route, which covers 64 miles, has 388 entrants, while the shorter route covers 24 miles.
Wolverhampton cycling legend Hugh Porter MBE was undertaking the short route and as a patron of the hospice, called the figures "unbelievable."
Money raised from the event will go to Compton Hospice which supports patients and their families living with an incurable illness across the Black Country, Shropshire and Staffordshire.
