Driver flees scene after city centre crash, say police
A driver fled the scene of a crash which left a car severely damaged in a city centre, say police.
The dark grey hatchback appeared to crash with a set of railings in Birmingham, completely destroying the front end of the vehicle.
The motorist fled the scene of the crash in Curzon Circle this morning, abandoning the car and possessions inside, say officers.
The incident was revealed by Force Response on Twitter.
The West Midlands Police account tweeted: "Newtown have attended this on their final night shift, to end the week as we started, at an RTC. This time at Curzon Circle.
"After the driver ran out of talent they fled the scene and left their car with possessions abandoned."
