Staffordshire murder victim named as Lauren Bloomer, 25, from Birmingham

Staffordshire Police were called to reports that a woman had been seriously injured in Bingley Avenue, in Tamworth, in the early hours of November 20.

Despite best efforts, she was confirmed dead at the scene.

Detectives investigating the murder have now named her as 25-year-old Lauren Mae Bloomer from Birmingham.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "Lauren’s family are being supported by specially-trained officers and they ask for their privacy to be respected at this tragic time."

Jake Notman, 27, from Bingley Avenue, Tamworth, has been charged with murder. He was due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today.
