Man dies after crashing into tree in Birmingham
A man has died after a suffering medical emergency while driving in Birmingham.
Paramedics were called to reports a car had hit a tree at the junction of Wake Green Road and Yardley Wood Road in Moseley at 5.56am today.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “When crews arrived, they found one patient, a man, who was believed to have suffered a medical emergency whilst behind the wheel.
“The MERIT team worked quickly to administer advanced life support to the patient who was in a critical condition.
"But sadly, despite best efforts, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
