Birmingham Crown Court closes after member of staff develops Covid symptoms
Birmingham Crown Court has temporarily closed today after a staff member developed coronavirus symptoms.
A Ministry of Justice spokesman confirmed the building closed this afternoon for a deep clean.
They added that the member of staff had not yet received test results to confirm whether they are infected with coronavirus.
The court is expected to reopen tomorrow.
A HM Courts and Tribunals Service spokesman said: "In line with public health guidance, the court has closed as a precautionary measure after a member of staff developed Covid-19 symptoms.
"The building will reopen tomorrow after a deep clean.”
