The man was found in the river near Wyndhurst Road, in Stetchford, at around 2.20pm on Tuesday, December 17.

The man's death is not being treated as suspicious.

But despite a post-mortem examination and investigations carried out by both West Midlands Police and Birmingham and Solihull Coroner's Office, the man's identity is still not known.

Police have now released an image of the clothing the man was wearing at the time – in a bid for new information to identify the man.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Although his death is not being treated as suspicious, anyone with information on how the man came to be found in the water or who he is should call us so the man’s family can be informed of his tragic death."

Anyone with information is asked to call West Midlands Police, on 101 quoting incident number 1245 of December 16.
