Tauqeer Hussain, 26, and Mohammed Fahsha, 30, were travelling in an Audi car which collided with a taxi on Belgrave and Lee Bank Middleway at around 1.10am on Sunday morning.

The family of Tauqeer have described him as 'a warm, happy and loving individual who was loved by so many'.

The family also hit out at people who shared graphic pictures of the crash on social media.

They added: "The last few days have come as an absolute shock for all. We as Tauqeer’s family are asking everyone to keep him, Fahsha and Kasar (Jehangir) in your prayers along with everyone else who lost their lives on this tragic night.

“It breaks our heart that people and even the media have not maintained any dignity for those who have died, we understand that there is a need to report but let this be relevant, respectful and current and not just about selling stories.

“We are disgusted that videos and photos were taken and shared on social media of our loved ones before emergency services had arrived and families were informed. We ask any videos and pictures are removed and people stop sharing this.

“Regardless of what is being reported... six people have lost their lives and families have lost loved ones. Please show some respect and let the families come to terms with this tragedy. To God we belong and to him we shall return."

The brother of Fahsha described him as 'a kind, gentle and most importantly a family man'.

He added: "He will be forever be remembered for his permanent smile and being the life and soul of his family. w he would go above and beyond for his family and friends.

“A loyal man that was loved by many and leaves behind a heartbroken mother, father, brothers, sisters, friends but his most treasured assets his nephews and nieces.

“The loss has placed a huge dent in our family which will forever remain. We wish to ask the media and other social media platforms not to publish the pictures and videos, originally recorded by members of the public, as the family are still grieving and these images are extremely distressing and not how we want to remember our loved ones."

Inspector Steve Radford, from the force’s Collision Investigation Unit, said: " There is a lot of speculation regarding who the driver of the Audi was. We are unable to confirm who was driving at this stage, this remains part of our on-going investigation.

“We are still keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and has not yet spoken to us.

"Our family liaison officers are supporting relatives of the bereaved at this tragic time and our thoughts remain with them. “

The tributes to Taqueer and Fahsha come after Lucy Davis and her boyfriend Lee Jenkins were named as two of the victims, along with taxi driver and father-of-six Imtiaz Mohammed.

Emma Secouet, a friend of Miss Davis, has set up a fundraiser for her two children to help them with the funeral and to ease any financial worries.

The fund was hoping to aim £1,000 but has passed the £4,000 mark.
