Six more Covid deaths in Black Country, Staffordshire and Birmingham
Six more Covid deaths have been confirmed in the Black Country, Staffordshire and Birmingham.
The deaths announced on Sunday mean 7,515 patients have now died with coronavirus in the region's hospitals.
On top of this, 1,385 people have died in the region's care homes after contracting Covid-19.
The six new deaths were spread across Dudley, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Staffordshire, Sandwell and Birmingham.
One patient died in the care of Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Sandwell General and City Hospitals. It means 1,158 coronavirus patients have now died at the trust.
One more patient died at The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Russells Hall, where the total number of deaths stands at 730.
One patient died at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, which runs New Cross Hospital, where 796 patients have now died.
One more patient died at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, which runs Stafford's County Hospital and Royal Stoke, where 1,370 patients have now died.
And one more patient died at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, which runs Walsall Manor, where 718 patients have now died.
One patients died at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. A total of 2,582 Covid patients have now died at the trust runs Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Solihull and Good Hope hospitals.
Across England, 23 more deaths were reported by the NHS on Sunday taking the English hospital death toll to 86,176.
The UK-wide death toll, which unlike the NHS only includes deaths within 28 days of a positive test, will be released by the Government later. On Saturday it stood at 126,573.
