Further 38 coronavirus deaths at region's hospitals
A further 38 coronavirus patients have died in hospitals in the Black Country, Staffordshire and Birmingham.
It means the total number of Covid-19 patients who have died in the region's hospitals now stands at 6,639.
A further 1,188 have died in the region's care homes.
In figures announced by NHS England on Monday, a further 313 coronavirus patients died in the country's hospitals, taking the total to 76,080.
Ten deaths were reported at the Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, which runs Sandwell General and City hospitals, where the death toll now stands at 987.
Six deaths were confirmed at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, which runs New Cross Hospital, where the total now stands at 713.
At the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, which runs the main hospitals in Stafford and Stoke, six deaths were announced, taking the toll to 1,245.
One death was recorded at the Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, taking the toll at Walsall Manor hospital to 620.
Fifteen deaths were reported at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust, which runs hospitals in the city including the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where the toll now stands at 2,291.
No new deaths were announced at the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Russells Hall Hospital, where the death toll remains at 632.
A spokesman for NHS England said: "A further 313 people, who tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 76,080.
"Patients were aged between 16 and 108 years old. All except six – aged 49 to 81 years old – had known underlying health conditions.
"Date of death ranges from December 24 to February 7 with the majority being on or after February 3.
"Their families have been informed."
