The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust has said face-to-face appointments are not being cancelled but are being rescheduled as they have had to adapt to keep staff and patients safe.

A spokeswoman for The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust said: "We have adapted how we provide care to keep our staff and patients safe.

"Many of our departments, including orthotics, are currently offering telephone or video consultation instead of, or before a face to face appointment.

"This is to ensure that we can flexibly offer as many appointments as possible, as safely as possible. We are still offering urgent face to face appointments if needed.

"If you have any questions please contact the orthotics department at New Cross Hospital on 01902 694082/3633 or alternatively, please email rwh-tr.orthoticservice@nhs.net"
