No new coronavirus deaths in region

No new coronavirus deaths were recorded over the weekend in hospitals in the Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire in the latest figures.

It is the sixth time this week no new deaths have been recorded in the Black Country and Birmingham and the fifth time in Staffordshire.

The death toll in hospitals in the Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire remains at 2,540.

The UK-wide death toll released by Government, which includes deaths in and out of hospital, has risen by 40, to 45,273, as of yesterday's figures.

And as of yesterday the number of coronavirus cases in the UK had risen by 827 to 294,066.
