Stafford Wetherspoons to reopen 11 months after flooding
Repairs have finally begun at a Wetherspoons pub in Stafford nine months after it flooded.
Bosses have now said The Picture House, on Bridge Street, which was closed due to flooding in October last year, will reopen on September 22.
The pub had not fully dried out until January.
Back in February the plan was for the pub to reopen on May 1, after a £800,000 refurbishment, but work had to be pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Now a spokesman has said work began this week and the pub is due to open in September.
