10 more coronavirus patients die in Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire
Another 10 coronavirus patients have died in hospitals across the Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire, it was announced today.
It takes the region's hospital death toll to 2,418.
It comes after yesterday four people were reported to have died across the region have testing positive for Covid-19.
In England, a further 72 people who test positive for coronavirus have died today – yesterday is was 75 – increasing the total to 27,431.
Across the UK 40,542 people have been confirmed to have died - up 77 from Saturday.
Six deaths were at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, which runs Walsall Manor Hospital, taking the total to 217.
There were two at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, which runs New Cross and Cannock hospitals, where 277 have now died.
And there was one at the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Russells Hall Hospital, an increase to 255.
One more death was confirmed at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, which runs Stafford's County Hospital and Royal Stoke University Hospital, where 315 coronavirus patients have now died.
There were no new deaths announced at the Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs Sandwell General and City Hospitals, leaving the toll at 360.
No new deaths were announced either at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.
The 925 deaths at the trust, which runs Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull Hospitals, is more than any other health trust in the UK.
The toll in Worcestershire's hospitals also remains unchanged at 290, as has Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Trust, which stays at 37.
