14 more coronavirus hospital deaths across Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire
Another 14 coronavirus patients have died in hospitals across the Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire.
The NHS figures announced today meaning the Covid-19 death toll in the region's hospitals now stands at 2,216.
The number of deaths in hospitals in England increased by 174 to 24,913 in the latest figures.
The UK-wide death toll updated today by the Government, which includes deaths in and out of hospitals, was 35,341.
It came as a total of 59 people have died in care homes across the region during the second week of May – after testing positive for coronavirus.

Among the new hospital deaths announced today were four at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, which runs Stafford's County Hospital and Royal Stoke University Hospital, taking the death toll to 274.
Four patients also died at Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Russells Hall Hospital, an increase to 241.
One death was confirmed at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, running New Cross and Cannock Chase hospitals, taking the total to 259.
And one death was also confirmed at the Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, which runs Sandwell General and City hospitals, where the total is now 330.
Two more people have died at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust, taking the total to 865. The trust runs Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull hospitals.
One person died at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, an increase to 32, and one patient also died at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, taking the total to six.
No new patients died at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, which operates Manor Hospital. The total remains at 192.
There were also no new deaths at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Five new deaths were reported in Worcestershire today, where the total death toll in the county's hospitals stands at 262.
Patients who died in England were aged between seven and 102 years old.
Six of the 174 patients - aged between 45 and 90 - had no known underlying health condition.
In total Wales has recorded a further 17 coronavirus deaths, taking its total to 1,224.
Northern Ireland recorded a further seven coronavirus deaths, taking its total to 489.
