Coronavirus: Further 19 deaths confirmed in the Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire
Nineteen people who tested positive for coronavirus in the Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire have died – bringing the region's total to 1,775.
Another 336 people Covid-19 patients have died in hospitals across England, a rise to 18,420.
Overall 20,732 people have died in hospitals in the UK - up 413 from 20,319 on Saturday.
On Saturday, 62 deaths were confirmed as the UK's hospital death toll passed 20,000.
Nine deaths were reported at the Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, which runs Sandwell and City hospitals, bringing the total to 278.

There were a further three deaths at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, a rise to 227. The trust runs New Cross Hospital and Cannock Chase Hospital
And at the University Hospitals of North Midlands Trust, which runs Stafford's County Hospital and Royal Stoke University Hospital, there was just one death – an increase to 175.
There were six more deaths at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust taking the total to 722. The trust runs Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull hospitals.
No deaths were reported at Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Russells Hall Hospital, where the total remains 205 or Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, managing Manor Hospital, where the total is 147.
Meanwhile four deaths were also confirmed in Worcestershire.
NHS England said the patients were aged between 28 and 100 years old.
A total of 22 of the 336 patients aged between 41 and 94 years old had no known underlying health conditions, officials added.
The daily announcements only include hospital deaths, meaning the full death toll is likely to be far higher, and refer to patients whose deaths were confirmed in the previous 24 hours – not who died in that period.
Some deaths are not included in the statistics for several days due to testing or family members being informed.
Today figures were from deaths between Saturday, April 18 and Friday, April 24.
