£10,000 appeal for University of Wolverhampton to manufacture PPE
The University of Wolverhampton is appealing for donations to ensure they can continue manufacturing vital PPE for frontline workers.

It is hoping to raise at least £10,000 to produce face shields and anti-bacterial sanitiser.
Faculty of Science and Engineering staff based at the Telford Innovation Campus have been using 3D printers to make face shields for hospitals, community nurses, paramedic services and care home staff across the region.
Almost 500 face shields have already been manufactured.
Production has also begun on hand and surface sanitiser for NHS Trusts and local authorities, helping to combat short supplies of the anti-viral gel and staff from the School of Pharmacy have already made more than 100 litres of sanitiser.
More Covid-19 coverage:
The university wants to raise £10,000 so that it can manufacture 3,000 face shields and 1,500 litres of sanitiser.
If it manages to raise a further £10,000 it will enable them to build an injection moulding tool and buy enough raw materials so that they can manufacture 30,000 face shields at a rate of 1,000 per day.
