47 more coronavirus deaths across Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire
A further 47 coronavirus patients have been confirmed to have died across the Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire.
The figures announced on Thursday takes the total number of Covid-19 deaths in the region to 1,656.
Across the UK, a further 616 deaths have been confirmed taking the new country-wide death toll to 18,738.
In England the figure increased by 514 to 16,786.

Included in these were a further 11 deaths at the University Hospitals of North Midlands Trust, which runs Stafford's County Hospital and Royal Stoke Hospital, making a new total of 155.
There were also nine deaths reported at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, which runs Sandwell and City Hospitals, bringing the total to 266.
Six more deaths were confirmed at the Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, a rise to 146. A further five deaths were announced at the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Russells Hall Hospital, bringing the total of Covid-19 deaths to 196.
Another 13 deaths were reported at University Hospitals Birmingham, taking the total to 655, with two further deaths at Birmingham Community Healthcare, an increase to 20.
No new deaths were confirmed at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust on Thursday, with the total remaining at 213.
The first death was also confirmed on Thursday at the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The 88-year-old patient with underlying health conditions died at Haywood Hospital in Stoke-on-Trent
In Worcestershire, a further 11 deaths were confirmed, meaning 177 people have died with coronavirus in the county's hospitals.
The daily announcements only include hospital deaths, meaning the full death toll is likely to be far higher, and refer to patients whose deaths were confirmed in the previous 24 hours - not who died in that period.
Some deaths are not included in the statistics for several days due to testing or family members being informed.
A NHS England statement said: "A further 514 people, who tested positive for coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 16,786.
"Patients were aged between 31 and 100 years old. A total of 16 of the 514 patients – aged between 37 and 92 years old – had no known underlying health condition.
"Their families have been informed."
