The Euro Foods Group at Darlaston in Walsall has been distributing snacks to workers at Walsall Manor Hospital’s intensive care unit.

Now the group has answered calls for help for the equally hard-pressed district nurses based at Darlaston Health Centre.

Shaun Garbett, supervisor at Euro Foods Group, said: “This was our small way of thanking them for their marathon efforts during these tough times fighting the coronavirus pandemic.”

Kathryn Bevan, local lead for Community Nursing, said: “The kind donation received from Euro Foods Group is very much appreciated by our community staff and will support morale within the teams and acknowledge how hard they continue to work."

Mohammed Arif, interim chairman of the Union of Muslin Organisations, an umbrella group for Walsall Mosques, said: “District nurses work in the community protecting the vulnerable and we wanted to highlight their critical work.

“I want to thank all the senior management at Euro Foods Group in Darlaston for their very generous food donations.”
