Star fundraiser Louis Johnson celebrates reaching his goal of raising £12,000 for Birmingham Children's Hospital

Louis Johnson from Tettenhall has been working tirelessly to help raise funds for Birmingham Children’s Hospital, one of many charities the 14-year-old has shown his support for.

He has just reached a target of £12,000 to donate to the Children’s Hospital, a hospital he had spent time at and which had also looked after friends of his.

His mother Teresa said: “He’s been doing bike rides and he did a walk from Tettenhall to Birmingham Children’s Hospital last year and was going to do it again this year before lockdown started.

"During lockdown, we’ve been able to have a stall on our drive when allowed, which meant we could do a raffle and a tombola.

“He’s also done a Halloween party at the Mount Hotel, as well as afternoon teas at the hotel and stalls at the Mander Centre.”
