Critical blood donation sessions are continuing at Stourbridge Town Hall during the coronavirus pandemic.

Sessions are still scheduled to take place on May 20, June 24, July 8, August 6, October 6, and December 3.

They will run between 1pm and 3.10pm, and then again between 4.30pm and 6.20pm on those dates.

Attendance will be by appointment only, with no walk-in appointments available.

Councillor Ian Kettle, Dudley Council's cabinet member for regeneration and enterprise, said: "Travelling to give blood is considered an essential journey by the Government, and we need to make sure we keep our blood stocks up even during these unprecedented times to help the most vulnerable.

"The venue will be thoroughly cleaned before and after the sessions.

"We will be practising social distancing as per Government guidance, as well as using screening booths and ensuring regular hand washing and sanitising."

Anyone wishing to become a donor can register for an appointment, by visiting www.blood.co.uk.
