Sandwell Hospital bosses launch bid to recruit more than 150 nurses
More than 150 nurses are set to be recruited across Sandwell as bosses at the NHS trust organise a major recruitment drive.
Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, which runs the Sandwell, City and Rowley Regis hospitals – and will run the future £475million Midland Met – is looking for nurses across all departments.
Trust leaders are hosting a major recruitment event on Saturday, January 18 – and all departments will be on hand to give advice, as nurses are needed in all areas.
The trust is looking to recruit 159 nurses across all departments.
Chief nurse Paula Gardner said: “A new year often means resolutions for new starts and new opportunities.
“We’d like to invite all nurses, nursing associates and student nurses looking for a first opportunity or a new start to join us at the BTC on January 18 and find out more about the work our dedicated nursing team does and how you can be a part of it.”
Nurses and nursing associates at band 5 and above are all encouraged to apply – while student nurses are also invited to learn more about how the Trust can help with their future plans. Vacancies within medicine and emergency care, surgical services, primary care, community and therapies, and women’s and child health departments are all available with interviews taking place on the day for those who wish to apply. Those candidates who are successful will be given an on-the-spot job offer. The recruitment day takes place from 10am to 4pm.
Nurses will also be needed for when the highly-anticipated Midland Met Hospital opens in the spring of 2022 – but bosses want to secure nurses in positions in their current hospitals first.
