Britain's Got Talent star Jean Martyn performs for patients at New Cross Hospital - with VIDEO
A reality TV music star visited New Cross Hospital to perform to patients ahead of Christmas and to hand over money she raised for the hospital following the death of her husband.
Britain's Got Talent favourite Jean Martyn transported her own piano to wards in Wolverhampton's New Cross Hospital on Sunday to play for patients.
Wearing her well-known sparkly jacket which she wore during the ITV show, Jean pulled out all the stops as she delivered festive cheer to those in hospital over the holidays.
Jean decided to perform in the wards in recognition of the work the staff at the hospital do following the death of her late husband Bob Ware.
Bob died in October this year at the age of 77.
As part of the event on Sunday, Jean also donated the £850 she had raised for the Royal Wolverhampton Trust which runs New Cross, in memory of her husband.
Jean appeared on Britain's Got Talent in June 2011.
She performed in the live finals of the show and went on to perform in front of thousands at Birmingham's National Indoor Arena as part of the 14-date UK-wide tour of the programme.
This was just the beginning of a whirlwind journey for Jean, who had previously worked at Cannock Chase High and Huntington Primary schools.
In the same year, she played a two-hour show at Wolverhampton Civic Hall and later appeared on Channel 5 show Big Brother and Loose Women, as well as Channel 4's The Paul O'Grady Show.
She has played at venues across the country including Butlins holiday camps and even at St James's Palace and Buckingham Palace.
