Antonia met the minister earlier today, October 4,  to raise concerns about South Staffs Water and the issues her constituents had experienced over the weekend with the burst water mains on Leabrook Road.

The floods started on Saturday, October 2, and Bance said she has also written to South Staffs Water to question 'why it took so long' to get bottled water to residents, which she said was 'at 10pm and the water main burst at 9am'.

She went on to say that it was 'her' team which 'organised a safe place at the Sons of Rest' and does not understand why communication was 'so bad'.

According to the MP, vulnerable residents did not feel supported throughout the day, and some suffered 'extensive damage' while they contended with the chaotic scenes that persisted over the weekend.
