Kerry Wright, who works as a cleaner, discovered an 'extremely rare' pink grasshopper on Saturday afternoon whilst she was gardening at her home in Bilston. At first she thought it was a petal.
The 47-year-old described seeing the colourful creature sitting calmly on a long blade of grass.
She said: "Something caught my eye and I thought 'what is that?' I thought it was a petal from a pink flower at first, but as I went over it started jumping, I knew it was a grasshopper then.
"I was just fascinated. I've never seen anything like it in my life."
