Black Country snow recap as weather warnings come to an end
Residents in the Black Country and Staffordshire woke this morning to see snow falling outside their homes for a third consecutive day.
The forecast for another flurry overnight has turned out to be correct, with a Met Office-issued yellow weather warning for snow remaining in place until 2pm today.
Like yesterday, a number of schools across have been closed, with some travel disruption this morning as the snow continued to fall.
Since mid-morning, the weather has improved, reducing problems for residents, although sub-zero temperatures tonight could freeze any snow or water that remains on roads and pavements come nightfall.
Here's how the day unfolded.
